Co-funded by USAID and Pakistan’s HEC, this program provides full scholarships—tuition, books, living, accommodation, transport—to academically talented but financially needy students at 30+ partner universities

🎓 Who Is Eligible?

  • Pakistani/AJK nationals
  • Undergraduate or graduate program entrants in approved disciplines (e.g., agriculture, engineering, social sciences) 
  • Demonstrated financial need and strong academic record (typically ≥ 70% in FSc/Bachelor’s) 
  • Open to female students—minimum 50% of awards reserved

In March 2025, USAID suspended funding—affecting 530 current recipients and putting the program’s future in doubt  HEC is in discussions to seek an extension to June 2026
